The Director-General of Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution(IPCR), Dr. Joseph Ochogwu, hosted a high-level delegation of thought leaders and scholars at the Institute. This gathering took place on the sidelines of the 7th International Conference on Love and Tolerance, held at the IPCR Headquarters in Abuja.

The International Cinference was jointly organized by the IPCR, the UFUK Dialogue Foundation, the Nigerian Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) and other peace stakeholders in Nigeria. The theme of this event was “Empowering Youths: Cultivating a Culture of Peace and Understanding”.

The sideline discussions delved into various challenges facing global population, with a particular focus on the youth demography, which has seen significant growth in recent times. These discussions provided valuable opportunities to share insights and experiences on critical issues, aiming to foster a culture of peace, understanding, tolerance, mutual respect and acceptance among youths from diverse cultural, religious, ethnic and ideological backgrounds worldwide.

The thought leaders and delegations further stressed the possible collaborations and synergies towards actualizing the core objectives of their discussion, including enhanced security, stability, peaceful co-existence, and inclusive growth.
