About IPCR
The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution(IPCR) was established in February, 2000. The Institute is under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is primarily a research centre, a think-tank and an agency to strengthen Nigeria’s capacity for the promotion of peace and conflict prevention, management and resolution.
Basic Conflict Management Course (BCMC)
Conflict is an inevitable part of human existence. It affects individuals, families, communities, and social groups, as well as institutions and nation-states. Conflict can be managed in ways that will reduce bad consequences that may include loss of lives, human suffering, economic losses and insecurity.

Advanced Conflict Management Course (ACMC)
West Africa and indeed Nigeria has been inundated with series of conflicts. The situation in the region particularly in Nigeria shows that there are much more insecurity than ever, with increasingly concern on growing social tension and conflicts given rise to more displaced persons. These conflicts have also led to destruction of properties and infrastructure.

The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) has commenced a data bank of graduates for the establishment of Alumni of its Basic Conflict Management Course (BCMC) and Advanced Conflict management Course (ACMC).
