DG IPCR Tasks Nigerian Students on Peace Building in Communities.

The Director General of the Institute For Peace and Conflict Resolution ( IPCR) Dr. Joseph Ochogwu,has called on Nigerian students to amplify the message of peace in their communities so that Nigeria can be great again.

Dr. Ochogwu made the call recently in Abuja when the Institute hosted the students of Political Science and Conflict Studies from the Al-Ansar University, Maiduguri who were on study tour to under study the mandate, functions and programs of the Institute.

He admonished the students not to limit themselves, but be prepared to face challenges as pioneer students of the University.

In his presentation,
the Director of Internal Conflict Prevention and Resolution, Dr. Gerald Okafor, delved extensively on the mandate, objectives and programs of the Institute, the various peace interventions in the country and Africa.

He explained further the workings of the departments in the Institute, the various collaborations within and outside the country aimed at conflict Prevention and peace building.

In his remarks, the Head of the Department of Political Science of the University, Dr.Hayatudeen Muhammad Adam, commended the unwavering support of the Institute, adding that, the management of the University is ready to partner IPCR to build capacities of their students.
