IPCR Staff Participates In KAIPTC Youth In Leadership, Peacebuilding Course
A staff of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) was among the young leaders from across West Africa (Senegal, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Nigeria) and East/Central Africa (Kenya, South Sudan), who participated in the Youth in Leadership and Peacebuilding Course at the Kofi Anan International Peacekeeping Training Center (KAIPTC), Accra Ghana.
This development is a continuation of the sustained commitment of the Director-General of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR), Dr. Joseph Ochogwu, to strengthen the capacity of research staff of the Institute.
Ms. Caroline Omale, a staff of IPCR, was among those brought together for the intensive training, centered on youth and peacebuilding towards empowering the next generation of peacebuilders.
Topics like the UNSCR 2250, ethical considerations for leaders, strategies for effective communication and the role of Youth in Leadership were discussed.
The training course enables participants to refine their approache to youth-inclusive peace initiatives. #Youth4Leadership.
