
The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) has surpassed prominent agencies like the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in terms of compliance with the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act in this year 2024.
While IPCR was ranked as number 19 out of 245 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), CBN was ranked as (25), INEC (38), EFCC (45), Human Rights Commission (36), National Agency For Food And Drug Administration And Control (NAFDAC, 47) and National Salaries, Incomes And Wages Commission (23).
The agencies, which were ranked first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh positions respectively are; Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), Revenue Mobilization, Allocation, And Fiscal Commission, Development Bank Of Nigeria, Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority, Bureau Of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), National Bureau Of Statistics and National Bureau Of Statistics.
The agencies and ministries which were ranked lowest are ; News Agency Of Nigeria (NAN) 223rd, National Rural Electrification Agency, 224th, Ministry Of Petroleum Resources Hqtrs 225th, Directorate Of State Security Service 226th, National Commission For Museums And Monuments 227th, Civil Defence, Immigration And Prison Service Board (CIPB) 228th, and Public Service Institute Of Nigeria 229th.
