Ufuk Dialogue Recognizes Dr. Ochogwu, Former President Buhari, Others With Prestigious Awards

Ufuk Dialogue has honored the Director General of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR), Dr. Joseph Ochogwu, former President Muhammadu Buhari, and other notable individuals with prestigious awards for their contributions to peace and dialogue in Nigeria.

This recognition is part of Ufuk Dialogue’s efforts to promote interfaith dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and mutual understanding.

Dr. Ochogwu, was honoured with Dialogue and Peace award for Public Service.

Ufuk Dialogue, which recognised Dr. Ochogwu with the award in Abuja on Wednesday, added that his dedication to public service, governance, and the promotion of a peaceful and inclusive society brought him to limelight.

The award was also presented to him in recognition of his unwavering commitment to humanity, demostrating integrity, passion, and excellence in public service.

According to Ufuk Dialogue, a non-governmental organization, whose goal is to promote global peace and contribute to peacefully co-existence among adherents of different cultures, faiths, tribes and races, Dr. Ochogwu’s dedication has inspired and served as a beacon of positive change.

Dr. Ochogwu career has been dedicated to advancing peace, security, and sustainable development in Nigeria. With a strong background in conflict resolution, policy development, and governance, he has worked extensively to mediate disputes, formulate peacebuilding strategies, and enhance social cohesion.

His efforts in facilitating dialogue between communities, stakeholders, and policymakers have been instrumental in preventing and mitigating conflicts across the country.

Through his expertise in research and policy analysis, he has contributed to shaping national discourse on peace and security.

Other recipients of the awards are; Mr. Muhammad Nurudeen Lemu, Fr. Joseph Tile Nomwange, Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu and Mr. Yusuf Kabiru
