President Tinubu’s Commitment To Driving Critical Reforms On Course, DG IPCR Assures

The Director-General of Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR), Dr Joseph Ochogwu, represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 7th Annual Senator Abiola Ajimobi Roundtable in Ibadan, Oyo State.

This event, organized by Senator Abiola Ajomobi Foundation and Institute for Peace and Strategic Studies – University of Ibadan, brought together prominent dignitaries, including, Deputy Senate President, Sen. Jibrin Barau and Senate Majority Leader, Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele.

The roundtable also served to commemorate the 75th Posthumous Birthday of Senator Bola Ajimobi, a collosus in Nigerian politiics known for his staunch advocacy for constitutionalism, good governance and democracy.

This year, the roundtable’s theme was “Legislative Oversight and Accountability in Nigeria: Challenges and Prospects”. It specifically explored practical strategies for improving accountability and oversight within Nigeria’s legislative framework, thereby promoting good governance, security, and socio-economic growth.

During the event, the representative of Nigeria’s President, Dr. Joseph Ochogwu – DG, IPCR, emphasized the timeliness and importance of the roundtable’s discussions and assured of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to drive the Renewed Hope Agenda through fiscal, economic, energy, tax, and other critical reforms as well as effective legislative and executive collaboration for a secured, stable and prosperous Nigeria.
