Dr. Joseph Ochogwu, Director-General of Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, led a research team from the Institute to meet the Managing Director and Management Team of Galaxy Backbone in Abuja.
During the meeting, Dr. Ochogwu informed on IPCR’s initiatives aimed at mitigating insecurity, and mediating violent conflicts, such as chieftaincy tussles, farmer – herder conflicts, communal clashes, and ethno-religious confrontations.
He further highlighted the Institute’s Conflict Early Warning Early Response System (CEWERS), a technology-driven platform designed to identify conflict indicators in communities across the nation.
The Executive Director of Customer-Centricity and Marketing, Hon. Olusegun Olulade, who represented the Managing Director of Galaxy Backbone, eulogised IPCR’s dedication and commitment to addressing diverse security challenges in Nigeria and Africa. He also emphasised Galaxy Backbone’s efforts in providing proficient technological initiatives and services to both government and private institutions in Nigeria.
Hon. Olusegun assured of his organization’s partnership with IPCR to achieve its goal of technological transformation in peacebuilding for peace, security, national stability, and conflict management.
